The suspect was detained in Majdal Zoun, a village in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Al Jadeed TV network reported on Tuesday.
Some residents of the village said that the arrested individual whose photo has been released to the public had a residence in Germany and visited Lebanon frequently.
The suspect identified with initials M.T.D had been under supervision for a long time, said the report, adding that the person had a number of unregistered phone numbers through for supplying information about critical places to Israeli agents.
The suspected spy was probably arrested by Hezbollah while arriving in Beirut international airport, the report said, adding that the suspect has been handed over Lebanese security officials.
